今年5月にデビュー35周年を迎える多岐川舞子、この大きな節目に向けて昨年5月から今年までを"感謝と勝負の2年間"と位置付け、これまでの多岐川舞子を形作ってくださった作曲の先生に、それぞれ作品を依頼してデビュー月の5月、誕生月の11月と半年ごとにリリースを続けてきた。昨年5月発売の岡千秋先生作曲の「晩夏の岬」、昨年11月発売の弦哲也先生作曲の「凍る月」に続き、第三弾となる今作ではこれまで多岐川舞子のシングル作品を一番多く手掛けてきた徳久広司先生に作品を依頼。これまでの多岐川舞子作品にはなかった、ドラマチックな曲調がとても印象的な本格演歌作品になった。カップリングには同じく徳久先生の作品である「京都・・・発」と「京都 別れ雨」の2曲を収録。歌詩カード、AB面メロ譜付。
