First DVD release from the TV anime adaptation of hit OVA "Sky Girls." 2071: Mankind has lost a third of its population due to a mechanical cell called Worm. 2074: The United Human forces unleash the massive destructive power of a planet sized weapon on the worms, further damaging themselves but eliminating the worms in the process. Ten years later a young girl named Otoha with a dream of flying, a 200 IQ genius named Karen, and the young ace of the air force named Eika accidentally discover a mysterious new weapon called the Sonic Diver. Beneath former pilot Soya Togo, the three girls practice to drive the mecha. But when the purpose of the device becomes apparent, Soya and Otoha are repulsed. Then they discover that the worms have returned for the final laugh and must become the Sky Girls to defend the planet. Includes episodes 1 and 2.
