アルバムタイトル「ヘッドフォンチルドレン」とは、現代社会における個人の確立とその矛盾を表している。世界が狭くなり海外旅行や留学が普通で、異文化が日常に組み入れられている現代だが、引きこもり、精神疾患、異常犯罪・・・、携帯やメールを使ったフェイス・トゥ・フェイスのコミュニケーションに欠けた生活もまた現代社会の特徴。ヘッドフォンに身を包んだ人や携帯を見つめるだけの人。いみじくもその外界をシャットアウトするヘッドフォンから流れる音楽を作っている自分達。そんな矛盾にモノ申す!! もはや論をまたぬ、ザ・バックホーンの最高傑作がここに完成!!
